Homegrown Kids is an inclusive group of homeschooling families in the East Bay. We meet weekly for park days and organize field trips, classes, potlucks, and other events according to our interests and schedules.

If you are homeschooling, or are still exploring the homeschooling option, we welcome you to visit our group. We ask that you please read our Mission Statement and Group Guidelines before becoming a member.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of HomeGrown Kids is to build a supportive community and to share homeschooling information, resources, and educational opportunities in a non-judgmental environment. We strive to be open-minded, tolerant and tactful, and to be aware of and responsive to the needs of others in our group.

We homeschool for many different reasons and our members encourage one another as we make our educational choices. All religions are welcome, yet religion is not the focus of this group. Information and opportunities of any kind may be shared with the group in a respectful manner.

All members are asked to participate in and contribute to the group, recognizing that we are busy with our families and that each level of commitment may be different.
